Vobo College of Electronics and Communications signed a donation agreement for terahertz spread spectrum modules

On July 22, 2021, Suzhou Fubo Electronic Technology Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as Fubo Electronics) signed a scientific research equipment donation agreement with the Institute of Electromagnetic and Information Technology, College of Information and Communication Technology of our University (hereinafter referred to as the Electromagnetic Information Institute).
Vov Electronics will donate two sets of terahertz vector network analyzer spread spectrum modules developed by the company to the Electromagnetic Information Institute, covering the two bands of 110-170GHz and 170-260GHz.
General Manager Huang Cong and Manager Zhou Zhendong of Fubo Electronics and President Wang Wenjie of ICT College, Secretary Zhang Anxue and teacher representatives Zhang Ming and Guo Cheng attended the donation ceremony. Guo Cheng signed the donation agreement with Fubo Electronics on behalf of the ICT College.
It has the R&D and production capacity of devices and systems in the frequency range of 10MHz-500GHz. The company focuses on general millimeter wave terahertz modules and component products, focusing on broadband communication, detection imaging, test and measurement applications. Fubo Electronics pays attention to the school-enterprise cooperation ecology of "production, learning, research and use", and has long-term scientific research cooperation with the scientific research team of the Electromagnetic Information Institute of our School of Information and Communication. The two sides have formed a positive interaction in scientific research projects, personnel training, laboratory co-construction and other aspects, and achieved satisfactory results.
Our university has the research advantages of profound professional theories and abundant talents, while the enterprise has rich experience in engineering practice and technology application, and the two sides complement each other's advantages and win-win cooperation. Based on the good history of cooperation between the two sides, in order to further support the discipline construction of the university, especially the construction of the comprehensive measurement laboratory newly built by the Electromagnetic Information Institute team in the Science and Technology Innovation Port in western China, and help the talents training of both the university and the enterprise. Volvo Electronics and Electromagnetic Information Institute reached a donation agreement to donate two new sets of self-developed terahertz vector network analyzer spread spectrum modules, calibration parts and supporting antennas to the electromagnetic Information Institute team free of charge, and provide open interfaces for the subsequent installation and upgrade of self-developed devices in the system. The equipment will be delivered and the donation acceptance ceremony will be held within six months after the signing of the agreement.
General Manager Huang Cong said that Fubo Electronics will continue to cooperate with the Electromagnetic Information Institute team in microwave/millimeter wave/terahertz related fields to jointly promote the application of relevant scientific research results and the transformation of intellectual property rights in our school, while exploring a new path for student research practice and training, providing a source of power for enterprise talent reserve and core technology development. We look forward to more and more enterprises to develop various forms of cooperation with our university, and also hope to contribute to the development of millimeter wave terahertz science and technology in our country!
